Listening to music can help reduce stress. Lisa Tams from the Michigan State University Extension Relax: Alternatives to Anger Program says that music helps promote healing and improves one's overall emotional well-being. So not only can music reduce stress, it can help you fell better. Research has shown that listening to music reduced the prevalence of a burn-out of a nursing student. As a college student you can relate to the hard work that students day by day. It can be stressful to deal with school work, a job , social life or paying some bills now that you are on your own. Music has also been used as a therapy of stress for patients getting out of the hospital. Researchers conducted an experiment and it has been proven that listening to music before, during and after a surgery can help reduce stress. Music can help reduce stress no matter what the situation is.
