Everyone has their moments when they feel overwhelmed by the amount of work they have to do for school or for work and does not know where to refer to when handling these type of situations. adaptation to a new style of like style such as high school to college can be hard to handle but this is the perfect place for you to get great information when coping with challenges. This tab will be avaliable anytime you feel that stress is starting to become out of your control.
The social support that this tab will offer will be categorized into three different type of stress area you may be listed in

The social support that this tab will offer will be categorized into three different type of stress area you may be listed in
- Emotional support: This usually manifests as expressions of love and caring, oftentimes from family and close friends, which contribute to your sense of self-worth. Whether it's a hug or an "I love you," this type of support is the most intimate.

-If you feel that your really stressed out because overwhelmed then do not feel alone! There are also a lot of other college students out there who are always facing the same thing as well but they have found solution to cope with that situation.
-Ever feel that you feel left out because when you did not understand a certain topic but everyone else has? Then don't be because there are ways to resolve those such getting help from your professor or ask those who do understand the topic and form a study group to get you to back on the right track like everyone else.
- Instrumental support: Offering a helping hand or any other sort of tangible aid falls into the category of instrumental support.
- these could include :
- Keeping a daily stress journal. This will help identify how much stress you are under, potential stress triggers and ways to reduce stress in your life. Take 15 minutes a day to describe any event that caused you to become stressed and any resulting emotional or physical response. Over time, you will be able to identify patterns, which will help you develop healthy management strategies. Label your entries with the date and time and use adjectives! Take your stress journal to your doctor if you need additional advice.
- ask a friend for a ride to work if your car breaks down or taking care of a neighbor's pets while he's on vacation.
- Informational support: As the name implies, this includes the provision of beneficial information, advice, or suggestions on how to address certain issues. Although this could come from a variety of people, a typical example would be a health care provider offering information on how best to address a medical concern.
- When trying to deal with stress first hand you can try to ease your mind away from that situation by taking some time and reading around this website.
- We provide various way to cope with stress from not only this tab but other suggestions to cope with stress such as exercise and music.
Various ways on what you could do on relaxing your mind from stress would include
- Go for a walk.
- Spend time in nature.
- Call a good friend.
- Sweat out tension with a good workout.
- Write in your journal.
- Take a long bath.
- Light scented candles.
- Savor a warm cup of coffee or tea.
- Play with a pet.
- Work in your garden.
- Get a massage.
- Curl up with a good book.
- Listen to music.
- Watch a comedy.
- Additional stress strategies
- These types of additional strategies could show what could be causing a further increase in stress and can help find solution to solve them. These would include:
- Be careful about what you eat and drink: Drinking to much caffeine can impaire your concentration and make you feel unrelaxed after a long time effect
- Improve your study skills: Effective study skills can reduce stress by making you feel more in control of your work and more confident that you will succeed. It may also be useful to talk to your course tutor to get subject specific advice to help make your revision more focused.
- Make time for fun: get involved in non-academic activity, such as sports, hobbies or music. Anything that you find relaxing or enjoyable which will give you a break from thinking or worrying about your exams will be beneficial.
